Time for one more blunder?

So, George W. Bush is very upset with Russia. Making demands on them, though as far as superpowers go they are currently flush with surplus cash due to oil's skyrocketing value, whereas we're a broke mess one giant bank failure away from widespread economic collapse. The Russian premier is right to call America on the bombastic preachy domineering idiocy of its leaders and the fact that they're acting in direct opposition to everything that's being demanded of them by our current Commander in Chief should be a surprise to no one.

Being Daniel Plainview

The Daniel Plainview manner of dealing with the world around you. Realistically acting based on your perceptions of people. Specifically about how people act toward you. Reading folks. Seeing who they really are, even if they don't. A jerk.

When you're in Daniel Plainview mode, you'll get your hands dirty and occasionally be left on your own. Possibly with a broken bone at the bottom of a mine shaft you yourself have invested everything into.

Some people will use a wedge of some kind to negotiate a better position for themselves. He calls them on it by threatening to kill them in their sleep. A little harsh, but he really does get his point across. Actually, no he doesn't, people are totally confused by him.

Daniel Plainview is honest, except when he's using the son he received randomly from an industrial accident to negotiate a fortune for himself. He eventually comes clean about that, too, though. He accepts the randomness of life and tries to forgive himself.

Dig for oil, eat steak, and scowl occasionally. He does sort of invent a new way of bowling. He's a Lebowski.
